There have been 339 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 813,038. There were coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,983The latest infection rate based on PCR tests for the seven days up to February 20 now stands at 191.7 cases for every 100,000 people a reduction from the 202.3 cases recorded on Friday. The local authority with the highest infection rate for the seven days up to February 21 was Cardiff with 258.7 followed by Carmarthenshire with 240 and Vale of Glamorgan with 230.6.

Hywel Dda Health Board shows 43 cases reported today with 12 in Carmarthenshire, 19 in Pembrokeshire and 12 in Ceredigion. As of February 23 out of 361 patients in acute hospitals with Covid there were only 85 people actively being treated for Covid in Wales.
