Another Sunday... another report...numbers lower and the light at the end of the tunnel is still there but not shining brightly yet...

There have been 1,495 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 800,316. There was 1 coronavirus death reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,913The latest infection rate based on PCR tests, for the seven days up to February 7, now stands at 379.0 cases for every 100,000 people a reduction from the 400.3 cases recorded on Friday, which was a drop on the 412.9 recorded on Friday. The local authority with the highest infection rate for the seven days up to February 7 was Carmarthenshire with 563.1 followed by Cardiff with 445.6 and Swansea with 418.2.

Hywel Dda Health Board shows 213 cases reported today with 107 in Carmarthenshire, 57 in Pembrokeshire and 49 in Ceredigion. As of February 10 there were 1,080 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus a fall on the 1,101 on February 9.
