There have been 1,972 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 508,932. There were 4 coronavirus deaths reported today by PHW shows the total number of deaths to date now rises to 6,405. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 472.1 per 100,000 people a drop on the 476.7 reported on Monday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Tuesday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is still Gwynedd with 851 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 670.7 and Anglesey with 623.9 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 294 cases reported today with 133 in Carmarthenshire, 127 in Pembrokeshire and 34 in Ceredigion.

As of November 29 there were 587 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a rise on the 567 reported on November 26.
