There have been 1,986 new cases of
coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 447,655. There
were 13 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number
of deaths has risen to 6,214. The Wales infection now
stands at 548.4 per 100,000 people a slight
rise on the 550.6 reported on Thursday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is Vale of Glamorgan with 774.8 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 768.4 and Caerphilly with 725.1 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 235 cases reported today with 108 in Carmarthenshire, 65 in Pembrokeshire and 62 in Ceredigion.
