4308 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by
PHW bringing the total cases to 310,368. There were 21 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW
so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,755. The
number of deaths reported today includes 6
deaths from the week of the 30th August with the others from the week of the
6th September.
The infection rate in Wales is now 521.7 per 100,000 people down from 557.8 on Sunday. For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...
The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Merthyr Tydfil with 760.9 cases per 100,000 followed by Carmarthenshire with 725.2 and Neath Port Talbot with 717.3 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 854 new cases reported today, 543 in Carmarthenshire, 173 in Pembrokeshire and 138 in Ceredigion.
