Rising rates in Wales are worrying...Covid case rates in Wales highest since January...

 

2389 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 270,243. There was 1 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,663The infection rate in Wales is now 334.1 per 100,000 people up from 321.7 on Wednesday.   For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Swansea with 498.4 cases per 100,000, followed by Denbighshire and Neath Port Talbot with 443 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 261 new cases reported today, 117 in Carmarthenshire, 85 in Pembrokeshire and 59 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,347,000 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,171,499 people are now fully vaccinated.
