A further 803 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 245,341. There were no new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths remains t 5,623. The infection rate in Wales is now 133.2 per 100,000 people down from 133.4 the day before.  Wales' infection rate has now fallen steadily for more than a week.

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 335.4 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 233.8 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 55 new cases reported today, 25 in Carmarthenshire, 23 in Pembrokeshire and 7 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,300,137 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,099,624 people are now fully vaccinated.
