The latest update covers the 48 hours from 9am on Friday, July 9, to 9am on Sunday, July 11.
Public Health Wales (PHW) reports 1,190 more positive cases to bring the
total to 225,691. There were no
further deaths meaning the total remains 5,579.
Wales' infection rate has risen to 136.1
cases per 100,000 people based on
the seven days between Jul 1 and July 7 up on 127 on Sunday.
The
area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Wrexham with 329.5 cases per 100,000 people, up from
320 cases on Friday. This is
followed by Flintshire with 212 and
Conwy with 183.4. Fifteen of Wales'
22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000
people.
On Friday there were 141 people across Wales in
general and acute hospital beds with confirmed, suspected or recovering cases
of coronavirus this is the same as the day before. Betsi Cadwaladr UHB had the
most with 44, followed by Cardiff and Vale UHB with 32, Aneurin Bevan UHB with 30, Cwm Taf Morgannwg with 26, Hywel Dda UHB with 7 and Swansea Bay UHB with 2.
Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,274,421 people
in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 1,832,550 people
are now fully vaccinated.
