Sad day for The Royal Family...but one other family is also grieving...

One further death with Covid-19 in Wales has been reported in the last 24 hours. The number of deaths reported by Public Health Wales (PHW) now stands at 5,528. There have been a further 114 positive cases reported, taking the total to 210,219. The single death was reported in the Cardiff and Vale Health Board area. Wales' case rate is now 20.4 per 100,000 people.

The highest case rates were in Cardiff, with 38.7 people per 100,000 of the population testing positive for the virus in the seven days to 3 April, followed by Swansea 33.2 and Anglesey 30. The lowest case rates were seen in Bridgend 6.8, Powys 8.3 and Conwy 8.5.

 

A total of 1,537,122 people have now had a first dose of the vaccine, and 498,318 have had both doses.
