No reported deaths today...Long may this reporting continue...

We are aware the coronavirus vaccine stops us from becoming seriously ill, but we don't know if it can stop people from passing the virus to others. Even after vaccination, everyone still needs to follow the rules, like keeping 2m and self-isolating if contact has been made with a positive case.

There have been no more deaths with Covid-19 reported in the past 24 hours. The number of deaths reported by Public Health Wales (PHW) remains at 5,528. A further 130 positive tests were reported, taking the total number of cases to 210,344. Wales' case rate is now 18.7 per 100,000 people. The area with the highest rate is Cardiff at 35.7 positive tests per 100,000 people over seven days, followed by Swansea with a case rate of 32 per 100,000.

A total of 1,556,316 people have now had a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 509,478 people have been fully vaccinated.
