Plans for many were arranged and thousands were looking forward to the meeting up of families over the Christmas period to bring a little bit of fun and enjoyment into their lives which has been absent for many over the last 9 months...But... Mark Drakeford scrapped those plans by making an announcement that meeting up is now limited to Christmas Day.
From today, all of Wales is in the highest level of lockdown - Level 4 - with all but essential shops closed, and people being told to "stay home" to save lives.
Looking at the numbers posted today by Public Health Wales then it appears that lockdown is the only answer.
