Friday's numbers...Monday is the day that most of the restrictions will be removed...will it work...we will see...


There have been 2,128 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 851,925. There were 3 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 7,095The latest infection rate based on PCR tests for the seven days up to March 20 is 429.4 cases for every 100,000 people a rise from the 424.2 cases recorded on Thursday. Infection rates in every area of Wales have risen. The Local Authority with the highest infection rate (based on PCR tests) for the seven days up to March 20 being Blaenau Gwent with 668.5 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 509.8 and Torfaen with 481.1.

Hywel Dda Health Board shows 222 cases reported today with 111 in Carmarthenshire, 76 in Pembrokeshire and 35 in Ceredigion. As of March 24 there were 760 patients in acute hospitals with confirmed Covid of whom 107 were being treated for the condition.
