Today 23 people have been reported to have died in Wales with coronavirus; the latest Public Health Wales figures have shown. It takes the total number of deaths with Covid reported since the start of the pandemic in Wales to 4,553. There were also 872 new Covid infections reported, taking the total number of cases to 188,583.
The latest figures show 58 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 24 new cases in Pembrokeshire and 4 in Ceredigion.
Wrexham has the highest rolling seven-day case rate in Wales with 551.6 people per 100,000 population testing positive. Flintshire with 413.8 and Newport with 300.0. Ceredigion has the lowest case rate at 129.3 per 100,000 people, followed by Monmouthshire with 142.8.
The Wales average is 231 per 100,000.
