Tis the week before Christmas...


Life is really difficult for many at the moment, with another lockdown looming from 28th December, 2021 is not really going to be the Happy New Year we all thought was due to us...


The total number of reported deaths from Covid-19 in Wales has now passed 3,000, with a further 38 reported on Friday by Public Health Wales (PHW). It takes the total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Wales to 3,011. There were 2,801 new cases reported, taking the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 117,367.

The case rate for Wales has jumped to 562.2 cases per 100,000 for the past seven days, up from 530.2 on Thursday.

Pembrey and Burry Port: 1,082.6 / 90

Llannon, Cross Hands and Penygroes: 784.1 / 66

Swiss Valley and Llangennech: 770.9 / 59

Llanelli South: 718.8 / 77

Llanelli North: 714.3 / 39

Llanelli Bigyn: 712.5 / 48

Glyn and Pontyberem: 650.8 / 63

Kidwelly and Trimsaran: 647.6 / 40

Dafen and Felinfoel: 626.3 / 35

Llanelli West: 623.6 / 46

Bynea and Llwynhendy: 619.5 / 56

Yr Hendy and Tycroes: 577.8 / 35

The area of Carmarthenshire with the highest current infection rate is Pembrey and Burry Port, with a rate above 1,000 new cases per 100,000 population.
